First a little history. Before “twister ties” and “plastic clips” were used to seal loaves of bread the major bakeries used a “bread label” glued onto the plastic bag to seal the loaves. These bread labels usually contained the company name and/or the type of bread within. However, on occassion the bakeries used pictures of baseball & football players, cowboys & indians, famous people of the world and, in this case, Disney characters. Due to the fact these labels were glued onto the packaging most labels have some damage on the back. Labels without back damage certainly command a premium. This auction is for a really nice Early 1950’s (Probably 1953 or 1954) "DISNEY Characters" Non-Sports Item, this particular “BREAD LABEL” features the character DEWEY . Please check the scan and satisfy yourself as to the centering and condition. S&H is $2.50, add 50¢ for each additional item, will combine with other items where possible. Insurance is optional unless the package value is $25.00 or more, at which point insurance WILL be added.
